Yes ! Great new set of pics !
Hey Jimbo... king of all butterflies... at last in the AJ pics.
Your mate´s 20th birthday... eh !?
After reading your comment and after viewing the party pics, I remembered where I had been when I was just 20:
On a trip to South France in summer 1989... But in the years that followed I made my first overseas trips... first to Sri Lanka in 1991, where I realised that I had to learn some more English if I realy want to see the world... Made it... travelled to Maldives for Scuba Diving in 1993... sticked with India in during the 1990ties... Had a girl from Malaysia and visited her place in 1995... Relationship failed after two years... escaped into the jungle of Costa Rica in 1997, but returned to India later in the same year... Jobless during winter... a long time in India, incl a Visa run to Nepal... back to Maldives in 2003, incl a quick visit in South India... First time in Thailand: Songkran 2004... since that time... only Thailand.
But I´ll get back to the roots before the end of 2009... India, in October next year... but before that: Thailand in March.
I wonder how things would have gone if I had been in Thailand already when I was 20... I probably wouldn´t have traveled anywhere else in my life... Thailand addiction.
Oh, I´m going to be 40 soon, on December 30th.
So, India here I come... before the Thai girls call me "Papa"... lol !

Mike, I think you are right - Thailand fever gets us all. Personally, I have always believed that no-one under 40 should come here - so your next visit, will, I'm sure, be particularly fruitful - make sure you use a Condom!
Over 40's still get Thailand fever, but at least they have done something with their life first!

Im sure ive still got alot of my life to live yet though, with experiencing new thing and what not. Ive had a few negative comments from guys in pattaya before saying you dont belong here and that im too young, well thats fine but im not causing and problems just enjoying myself like the rest of the tourists. And im sure quite a few would agree that the wish they had found thailand earlier in life.

Hey Jim, it isn't that we don't want you here - you have fun and so do we when you are here!
The comment is based on genuine concern for your long term sanity! I just worry that the real world (ie everywhere else) just can't compete!

Yo Jim... don´t misunderstand !
It was NOT my wish to critisize you and your mates, of being younger than me/us.
My previous comment here was just the result of a moody moment I had after reading your post here.
But I have to agree with Peter about the Thailand fever...
Anyway... I´m sure that you´ll make your personal way in the years that come.
The world would be a very boring place if everybody would walk the same path in life.
So, carry on... go where your heart and your interests drive you to go.
And most important:
Have fun !

right ok i understand what you were getting at..... just caught me by suprize when i read that as in i wanst welcome anymore as i have had that kind of response from guys in bars round pattaya. Lads my age do get a bad reputation for trouble causing and i can see why people have this view. But nice to feel welocme both here and the forum.
